విజ్ఞానశబ్ద వాచ్యో జీవశ్చ జీవ సమష్టి రూపశ్చ తుర్ముఖః -, తత్వం తద ధిష్టితం మహత్తత్వం -
(విజ్ఞానమనగా జీవుడు - జీవ సమష్టిరూపమే చతుర్ముఖ బ్రహ్మ. ఆ చతుర్ముఖుని అధిష్ఠించి యుండునది మహత్తత్వం - అందుచేత అదియే విజ్ఞానతత్వము).
vijñānaśabda vācyō jīvaśca jīva samaṣṭi rūpaśca turmukhaḥ -, tatvaṃ tada dhiṣṭitaṃ mahattatvaṃ -
